Abbotswell Pupil Council

The members of the Pupil Council have a very important role to play in our efforts to continuously improve Abbotswell School.

All pupils have the opportunity to put their names forward for election. The children in each class then vote for the person they feel would best represent their views at Council meetings. Those elected should feel very proud to have been entrusted with such an important position in the life of the school!

The Pupil Council meets monthly. Councillors bring with them any suggestions from their class as to how we could make Abbotswell School even better. These

suggestions are passed to Miss Kerr and her responses are  reported back at the next meeting. A minute of each meeting is prepared and Councillors are responsible for making sure their class receives the information.

Sometimes the Pupil Council may have other tasks to do. For example, they may write to invite visitors from the wider community to speak to them about issues raised by pupils. Some Council members may be invited to represent the school at meetings or special events.

WE VALUE THE OPINIONS OF ALL OUR PUPILS AT

ABBOTSWELL SCHOOL!
